Sashiko Level 3: Mending with Sashiko

On 7 November, 15:30–18:30, join us for a relaxed, hands-on Sashiko session where we take your skills one step further! After learning to read, understand and transfer traditional Sashiko patterns in Level 2, it’s time to put your skills into practice. Bring a garment that needs mending or could use a personal touch, and spend three creative hours stitching, experimenting and making it your own. We recommend bringing something easy to work with, such as a jacket or a pair of trousers, with enough room for your hands to move comfortably. We’ll provide all the necessary tools, fabrics for patches, and guidance in patching and reinforcing techniques inspired by Boro to help you repair, strengthen and give new life to worn textiles. Enjoy calming music, coffee, tea and good company while you stitch at your own pace.
