our favourites <3 All We Imagine as Light, directed by Payal Kapadia, follows the two nurses, Prabha and Anu, in the search for love in Mumbai. The movie explores the inner tensions between duty and freedom, and fabily bonds and personal choices. Prabha tries to stay loyal to her husband in Germany, who only visited India once for a short arranged marriage. Anu however, tries to find a place in Mumbai where she can be intimate with her secret affair (a Muslim man named Shiaz). A universal, tender and emotional film about the light that shines in all of us. Payal Kapadia India Blu-ray 118 min.
